IBM Kenexa Best Workplaces 2016 - finalist announcement 

We are proud to announce the EGCC has been named as a finalist in the small-medium category of the 2016 IBM Kenexa Best Workplaces Awards. This is based on NZ's largest and longest running study of workplace climate and employee engagement. The Best Workplaces survey identifies the best places to work in NZ, as rated by employees. The EGCC has been a finalist or winner of this award every year since 2011.

Consumer Rights Day - 26 October 2016 

The Consumer Protection team, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is running a Consumer Rights Day on Wednesday 26 October 2016.

This day brings together speakers from government, ombudsmen schemes and organisations that deal with complaints from people when they have a problem with different kinds of services.

Hannah and Marie from the EGCC will discuss disconnections, outages and bills. Their presentation will be a timely reminder for advocates to send consumers our way early if they are having trouble with their electricity or gas bills. The presentation will be from 12:55 - 1:10 pm. We will also be available to answer questions throughout the day.
